16.000 Besucher feiern beim Amphi Festival 2010!
Liebe Amphi Fans,
vielen Dank für ein phantastisches Wochenende im Kölner Tanzbrunnen! Bereits zum zweiten Mal in seiner sechsjährigen Geschichte ausverkauft, versammelten sich am Wochenende des 24. & 25. Juli 2010 16.000 Besucher aus Deutschland und dem weltweiten Ausland in Köln, um gemeinsam ein friedliches und stimmungsvolles Fest mit 37 Künstlern auf 3 Bühnen zu feiern.
Während And One und VNV Nation als Headliner auf der Hauptbühne begeisterten, kam es im Staatenhaus mit Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly und Project Pitchfork zu einem wahren Gipfeltreffen der Elektro- und Industriallegenden. Dazu rockten ASP, Eisbrecher, Blutengel, Combichrist und viele weitere Top Acts der Szene das Publikum mit außergewöhnlichen Auftritten. Jeweils ab dem Mittag bot das Theater am Tanzbrunnen zusätzlich interessante Vorträge, Lesungen, Musical Comedy, Filmvorführungen und vieles mehr, bevor am Abend die Party-Area mit über 20 DJ aus aller Welt das Kommando übernahm.
Nach dem Festival ist bekanntlich vor dem Festival. Wie jedes Jahr habt Ihr auch dieses Mal wieder die Gelegenheit an unserer Online Besucherumfrage zum Amphi Festival 2010 teilzunehmen und dabei 5x2 VIP Tickets zum Amphi Festival 2011 abzustauben. 16.000 visitors celebrate at the Amphi Festival 2010
Dear Amphi fans,
Thank you for a phantastic weekend at the Tanzbrunnen, Cologne! Sold out for the second time in the six year history of the festival, 16.000 visitors from Germany and countries worldwide gathered in Cologne on 24. & 25. July 2010, to have a peaceful celebration in high spirits with 37 artists on three stages.
While And One and VNV Nation inspired the audience as headliners on the main stage, the “Staatenhaus” presented a true summit of the industrial- and electrolegends, featuring Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly and Project Pitchfork. Further ASP, Eisbrecher, Blutengel, Combichrist and many other Top Acts of the scene enthralled the audience with outstanding performances. Each day at noon the “Theater am Tanzbrunnen” opened with interesting talks, readings, musical comedy, film screenings and much more, before the party-area took command of the evening with more than 20 DJ´s from all over the world.
As you know, after the festival is before the festival. Like every year, you have the opportunity again to take part in our online visitor poll regarding the Amphi Festival 2010 and to win 5x2 VIP Tickets for the Amphi Festival 2011. Your opinions, wishes and suggestions are very important for us and help us to further improve the Amphi Festival in the future. Thus we would be glad for your participation.
Meanwhile the preparations for the seventh Amphi Festival, dated 16. & 17. July 2011, have already begun. Das Amphi Festival 2010 unterstützt Missbrauchsopfer!
Am Freitag den 23.07.2010 fand im Kölner Theater am Tanzbrunnen das „Amphi Festival - New Talents Special“ statt. Ab 20.00 Uhr lieferten sich vier talentierte Bands einen musikalischen Wettstreit um die Eröffnungsposition des Amphi Festivals 2010.
Nachdem sich im Vorfeld alle teilnehmenden Bands ihre Startposition per Ebay-Auktion ersteigert hatten, konnte das Publikum vor Ort mit einer kleinen Spende den Ausgang des Wettbewerbs bestimmen. Am Ende setzte sich die Leipziger Band ZIN mit deutlichem Vorsprung vor den zweitplatzierten Boundlezz durch. Divamee und Novus UK belegten die weiteren Plätze.
Neben den Auftritten und der Wahl zum Newcomer des Amphi Festivals 2010 stand an diesem Abend speziell der Kampf gegen Kindesmissbrauch und die Unterstützung der Opfer im Vordergrund. Während sich die Band Divamee auch musikalisch mit diesem Thema auseinander setzte, stand ein Gewinner schon vor Beginn des Abends fest: „Dunkelziffer e.V.“!
Sowohl die Kollekte des Abends als auch die Einnahmen der Ebay Auktionen gingen dem Verein zur Betreuung von Missbrauchsopfern zu. Bis zur Verkündung des Ergebnisses um kurz nach Mitternacht kamen auf diese Weise insgesamt 2.646,38 € zusammen, welche die Initiatoren des Amphi Festivals, Kai Lotze und Marco Göthel, anschließend auf die Summe von 3.000,00 € aufstockten. Als Dankeschön für das ausverkaufte Amphi Festival verzichteten sie zudem auf den ursprünglich vorgesehenen Anteil zur Deckung der abendlichen Produktionskosten und überreichten einen Scheck über die komplette Summe von 3.000,00 Euro an Jasmin Falck von „Dunkelziffer e.V.“.
Das gesamte Team des Amphi Festivals bedankt sich bei allen Bands, Besuchern und Helfern, die dieses Projekt mit ihrem unermüdlichen Einsatz unterstützt und den Opfern des Kindesmissbrauchs mit Ihren Spenden einen wertvollen Schritt hinaus aus der Dunkelheit ermöglicht haben.

The Amphi Festival 2010 supports victims of abuse!
On Friday 23.07.2010 the „Amphi Festival - New Talents Special“ took place at the „Theater am Tanzbrunnen” in Cologne. Beginning at 8 pm, four talented bands stepped into a musical competition for the opening position of the Amphi Festival 2010.
After each of the participating bands had to secure their starting position through an Ebay auction, it was up to the audience to decide the outcome of the evening with a small donation. In the end ZIN from Leipzig took a clear victory over Boundlezz in second place. Divamee and Novus UK occupied the further ranks.
Apart from the shows and the search for the newcomer of the Amphi Festival 2010, the evening focused on the fight against children abuse and the support of its victims. While the band Divamee for example works up the topic in their musical efforts, one winner of the event was already known from the beginning: “Dunkelziffer e.V.”!
Like the collection of the evening the donations from the Ebay auctions were raised in favour of the association, supporting victims of child abuse. Until the result was announced shortly after midnight, 2.646,38 € came together this way, which the Amphi Festivals initiators, Kai Lotze and Marco Göthel, increased to a total of 3.000,00 €. As a special recognition for the sold out Amphi Festival they also stepped back from their agreed share for covering the production costs of the evening and presented a check with the full amount of 3000,00 € to Jasmin Falck, representing “Dunkelziffer e.V.”.
The entire Amphi Festival Team thanks all bands, visitors and supporters who made this project possible with their tireless efforts and donations, giving the victims of child abuse the opportunity for a valuable step out of their darkness.
